Drafting the script and lessons learned

—————-

When drafting the script for the game, I went into length with one of my teammates on ideas to explore, characters, motivations and how I want the player to feel, the first part I drafted was the beginning of the game and setting the Tone of the game.

—————

When discussing the script with my Mentor, I learned more about how to hold suspense, make sure to keep the story have key moments to shine and lend information to the player.

Takeaway

—————-

Making this small game allowed me to get out of my comfort zone and explore topics I haven't before, being able to lead and make sure the creative vision was maintained was an incredible experience and being able to share that with my team was amazing

—————

With my next games, I continue to hope I can explore outside my comfort zone and go deeper with topics and develop my design philosophy as I do.
